WHO:

The Cougar Youth Softball Organization (a feeder for Kennedy High School) is looking for girls who are interested in playing fast pitch softball next year (2011).  If you are playing now, enjoying it, and want to take your game to the next level---more commitment and more competitive?then we are looking for YOU!

WHAT:

Tryouts for 10 and 12 & under aged teams.  Amateur Softball Association (ASA) rules of play and age based certification will be in effect. The style of play and fundamentals taught will closely resemble what is learned at the high school level, yet having fun and helping each girl develop as a player are at the heart of our goals. These are parent sponsored/funded teams where you should expect to pay between $200-300. All money goes toward tournament and league entry fees, uniform and equipment expenses. Volunteer parent/coaches instruct the girls.  A fall season is offered mid- August to the end of September. The 2011 practices begin indoors as early as February with games starting by mid-April. The season runs through late June/early July. Some out of town travel is necessary.

WHEN and WHERE:

Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Kennedy High School softball fields.  3:00-4:15p.m. for 10u; 4:30-5:45p.m. for 12u.  Rain Date August 4^th 10U; 5:30 - 6:45.  12U; 7-8:45.
